Professor Helen Nosakhare Asemota (nee Obasuyi) is Full Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of the West Indies (UWI) where she is noted for her excellence in teaching, research, scholarly activities, and public service, with an admirable record of training of young adults to acquire and excel in research skills and practice.

Mr. Edokpayi is the principal partner in Dele Edokpayi & CO since 1989. Prior to this he was an Associate Solicitor at C. I. Akhere & CO. Mr. Edokpayi earned his law degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1982 and subsequently graduated for the Nigerian Law School in 1983.

Dr. Matthew I. Egbe holds a PhD in chemistry (Organic/Polymer) from Mississippi State University. He also obtained a BS degree from Southern University in Chemistry/Physics. He has an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT Sloan School of Management. Dr. Egbe started his professional career as a post-doctoral fellow in Polymer Chemistry at Mississippi State University and later at Louisiana State University. He was also a fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Dr. Tonnie O. Iredia is a humanist, thinker, political analyst, veteran broadcast journalist, lawyer and public administrator. He attended St James Primary School Benin City, Loyola College Ibadan and the Universities of Ibadan, London, Benin, Nsukka and Abuja and obtained certificates in Communication, Journalism and Management in addition to two Bachelors, one (1) Masters and two (2) Doctorates.

Dr. Thomas A. Isekenegbe, Cumberland County College’s sixth President, is continuing
to promote “working collaboratively to achieve great goals” as the college moves forward.

Kathy Lechman is currently the Associate Director for the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. In her prior role with the university she served as Assistant Dean and Director of Equity and Inclusion for the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.

Mrs Thelam N. Oviasu, ESQ had her BA honors from the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo state, Nigeria, an M.PS. from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York and a J.D. from St. Johns University, New York, USA.

Dr. Joyce Ugochukwu was born in Warri to the Egbejule Family of Ugbangue in Warri, Delta State. Joyce started her education in Warri and later gained admission to the Anglican Girls Grammar School, Benin City, in present day Edo State, from 1967 to 1971. In her final year, she was the Head Girl of the school. For her Higher School Certificate, she attended Edo College, Benin City, from 1972 to 1974. She thereafter gained admission into the University of Lagos, where she studied Medicine from 1975 to 1979, graduating with an MBBS degree.
